Goodreads asked Patricia A. Guthrie:

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Patricia A. Guthrie I started Legacy of Danger in the mid 1990's. It seemed everytime I put it down for a whle and tried to pick it up, I'd write another novel. (creation of Waterlilies Over My Grave and In the Arms of the Enemy) So, it underwent three different versions, an elimination of some characters and the addition of new ones. The last version also went through numerous rewrites. Origionally, the idea for Legacy came from the Dracula novel. But, no, even though it's a paranormal and set in Romania, it is NOT a vampire novel. Also you might say the villains are bloodsucking monsters. Always a treat.
So, I got the idea from the novel Dracula. (you won't recognize it).
