do you have any tips for aspiring writers? I always seem to come up with plots but then wind up abandoning them after a chapter or am disappointed in the results as it becomes more essay length than novel length.

I think it's important to remember that you are writing a first draft. Think of it like deciding whether a play will be any good at the first rehearsal. Of course you'll be disappointed with that first try - that's every writer's experience. The trick is to trust yourself that even if you don't love where you start, that you can keep revising until you start to see the chapter or the idea take shape. So don't give up. Keep writing! Keep writing! Keep writing!

Hi there! In the shadow throne the last chapter hints that jaron and imogen get married or betrothed (i can't remember which one exactly) but that's a year later. and the captive kingdom details what happened within that 1 year gap. so i guess my question is if the shattered castle will be before or after they get married???? sorry if this was a confusing question
btw, i am so excited for this to come out!!
