Does anyone else think Jason was WAY overdone in this book? It was, "Jason this, and Jason that." And, "Oh look how strong and good Jason is." And, "Piper was so gorgeous, and Annabeth's hair looked like spiders." And, "Percy was scary and uncontrollable, he exploded the toilets. If only he were more like Jason, tsk tsk." I'm seriously mad. Piper looks down on Percy and Jason looks down on Annabeth AND Percy. I'm mad.

Effy Stonem I agree. Like, Percy always failed and Jason always saved him. And Percy showed great power in the past books. All of a sudden, in this one, he cant save himself. His power was supposed to be stronger. And Annabeth's smartness was never used throughout the book. She is beautiful but Jason and Leo always describe her as "scary" or that spider thing. Plus, everyone loved Jason, like even Athena approved, and she never approves. The first 5 books, I really loved Percy. However, in this book, Percy's sense of humour, sassiness, bravery, and power is not showing. I love Rick Riordan and all, but this was a major mistake.
Shima I just can't believe Rick Riordan tried to make us like Piper and Jason more by putting down Percy and Annabeth!
Percy got poisoned under water?! Does water not even heal him anymore? and the son of sky god saved him under the water? the son of Poseidon?!
Also Annabeth freaked out when Jason got injured, Annabeth freaked out when they faced the giant with Piper, Annabeth couldn't move in a dress! - since when?-
They played no part. I can't believe that's how we're supposed to say good bye to them!
Hailey I liked Percy so much more the whole time. Jason was always so boring. But in this book it was all about Jason, because Percy couldn't even get a real role?
The Batman (Reagan) I really did not care for this book. Not only was the ending just one big pandering party for the LGBT crowd, but the fight that's been led up to for 4 and 1/2 books by this point is 2 pages long and anticlimactic as heck. And as is already stated, Piper and Jason got ALL the limelight. I don't mind them in the other books (although they are pretty sappy), but they are downright unlikable here. And did I forget to mention that although Nico had a starring role, he spent a majority of it unconscious?

Sariah I agree too. I mean, really? In all the other books Annabeth had a lot more character too. Like her smartness was the answer some of the time. But when Piper and Annabeth are fighting that giant by themselves? Annabeth went crazy. And Piper was the solution. Ughhhh! Otherwise, though, I loved it.
Teresa Rick tried to focus on Jason and Piper in the book since those characters weren't getting much likes. People hated Jason and Piper and thought they were replacements for Percy and Annabeth. I think you are overlooking it.
