Goodreads asked Ruthie Morgan:

What’s the best thing about being a writer?

Ruthie Morgan Just writing.
Being able to live in a parallel world whenever I choose. A world where the characters dance a little dance that I choreograph, and where I use words to convey emotions; there's nothing like it.
All of my life I have written because I love to, and because I have to.
Because I don't function properly when I don't write, because things usually don't make sense unless I do. Some days I might not want to write but know I have to - its easier on everyone really :)
I steadily figure out my world by writing about what I see and feel, word by word, and somewhere within all that, those words create characters and form stories.
Now, I get to write as a job (although I'm afraid to use that word in case my words scurry off, terrified by the pressure:) - that I can do what I love to do and make a living is like ice cream every day for breakfast:)
