Hi!
I originally wasn't going to have her name at all. I was just going to let you imagine what the most beautiful name in the world might be! But my editor said that would be super irritating, and that people would want to know, so I tried to think of a name that sounded beautiful but wasn't a name that anyone would actually have. I didn't want it to have "baggage." Imagine if I said her name was "Amelia" and then there would be readers who knew someone named Amelia who was mean, and so on!
I have set a book in Denmark, partially. Part of Princess of Glass takes place there, or in my version of there! I might set another book there, in actual Denmark, because you never know. My mother's family is from there, and I know she would really like that. I have no desire to retell an Andersen fairy tale though . . . I think they're all really depressing!

I'm asking for a friend who's having trouble filling the middle part of her plot. She says she's organized it into three acts and has act one mostly planned out as well as parts of act three, but has no clue how to address the gaping hole that is act two. Do you have any tips for her?

Do have any suggestions for a young writer who enjoys writing, but is having trouble sticking to it? It seems like any time I have a story idea, the motivation runs from me after a few days, and it's gotten to the point where I do still want to write, but I don't know what to write. It's slightly frustrating.
