Carolina asked:

Can someone please tell me, without giving away spoilers, if the book is more paranormal with paranormal twists or if it's a psychological thriller? I don't really enjoy paranormal thrillers with paranormal twists, so I'm a little apprehensive to pick up this book, but i loved his others books

Anne I think if you liked his earlier works, particularly "Lock Every Door," you'll find this to be a very satisfying read. I feel like some ghost stories can get lost in the weeds of the haunting (leaving me more confused than scared). Riley Sager does a nice job managing this whole tale. I found it clear cut, highly engaging, and the ending wasn't a let down.
Jennifer I'd say it's more psychological thriller with a bit of the paranormal. At least that's the most I can say without potentially giving away parts of the plot.
Christine It is more psychological thriller. I can recommend it to you because I am the opposite -- and would have enjoyed more paranormal!
Lisa I've read the whole thing and I would say, if you're not a fan of the paranormal, don't read this book! If you don't enjoy a theme that centers on house hauntings, it's not for you.
Taylor Vogel I would say give it a try, then! It’s unpredictable and has you guessing about your very question the whole book.
Jess Harris I hate things with the ridiculous throw away endings. You won't be disappointed!
Rits I think what people are trying to say here if we tell you if there something supernatural or not, it will take away from the book. The suspense of the book is driven by that fact.
Kathleen Sager takes you on a wild ride, you won’t know until the very end if the supernatural stuff is real or not. It’s by far more psychological thriller and just an excellent one at that!
Angie Same here. I wana know if it is paranormal. I hope someone can give us a real answer

Xavier F. This is a psychological thriller with hints of the paranormal and a murder mystery involved.
Britta it will feel like paranormal until the end when it seems more of psychological
Barbara Ruth In my humble opinion this was more a paranormal read instead of a psychological read, but I seem to be in the minority on this. It is definitely not up to the standards of his other books. I have read all his books and always look forward to reading them. But, in this case, I was very letdown. I hope his next book is better but this one was definitely subpar.
Trendy Wendy I agree. I forgot to include psychological thriller in my review, but very much more psychological thriller than paranormal. I loved this book so much, I say give it a try!
Stephanie Chmielecki Did you read it?
Greg Both, really, but more of a psychological thriller, as the heroine is haunted by her past and just wants to understand what really happened to her as a child, as her parents refuse to tell her for 25 years.
Karen Hilyard Great book I loved it!
Jamie Paul If you like his other books you'll like this. It's almost like a novel within a novel. The one complaint I have about his other books is how he skips time periods every other chaper but makes sense in this book. It's like every other chapter is a novel like the Ammytville horror that happened in the past and then every other chapter is present day
Suzi McGal I also don’t like when a book described as a psychological thriller veers off into crazy out there paranormal, but this one was ok for me . . . a true psychological thriller with hints of supernatural throughout the story. The ending explains what’s real and what isn’t.
