Excellent point! The author stretched the coincidences beyond the breaking point imo. One or two maybe, but Will is basically Moriarty? Seriously?

He might not have been to Jules' flat until after they were engaged (I think this is mentioned in the book). My question though is Olivia was using her flat while Jules was out of town, so when they went to the V&A party why was Jules there to meet Will? And wouldn't Jules have seen Olivia with Will when they first arrived if he was her plus one?

I figured he knew exactly what he was doing, it was just supposed to show how crappy a person he was.

I assumed he wanted the other sister when he went to the party. I just think he didn't think there'd be a consequence for dumping one and taking up with the other. Will doesn't think things through, he thinks he's above consequences and/or that he'll be released from them with his lies, appeal, and looks. He believes he is has the right to do this, he creates his own reality, and is shocked (or stumbles a little) when faced with a different reality.

Just finished the book and this has been driving me nuts.

It's mentioned that Jules was waiting for a ring. She only took Will home after they were engaged, since she didn't want her family to ruin things. And the first time Will came home, he pretended he didn't know Olivia, who in turn ran to the bathroom - so there was never much of an interaction between them.

I'm sure he would have known he hooked up with someone at her house when he saw it the first time but would not have known it was her half sister since they didn't look alike.
I think when it's said she didn't take him "home" until she got the ring it means home to meet her family not her house.

I thought this same thing...it would have been possible that he'd known after seeing the apartment, except Olivia made a point of saying she'd seen the recognition in his face the first time they "met"

I haven't finished the book yet, but have gotten far enough to have decided that he's such a total shit that he knows but doesn't care. She's too young and he figures that he can talk and connive his way out of facing consequences just as he's always done.

Aoife gives no suggestion as to who the couple might be. Apparently not a married couple as when they returned to different corners of the marquee and all husbands and wives are seated opposite each other...so they may have been married but not to each other. Do idea who they were.

Yes! Came here to ask the same question. It bugged me too.

Can anyone remember at what point Will becomes famous? How did Olivia not recognise him from the TV show (even w the fake name) when they hooked up?

Yes, this is a big question. BUt what really bugged me was that so many people had been affected by Will and they all come together. OK, so Olivia was hurt by Jules' fiance. And the same guy was also responsible for Hannah's sis's death and the wedding planner too.
and in the end Johnie is arrested but the wedding planner goes scot free

Weren't they only dating a few months before they got engaged? It's a stretch, but possible.

It bugs me that the book didn't give more information about the couple. If I had to guess it was Jules' father (old yet apparently still virile) and another guest. Or maybe it was Jules' mother....having a little fling with her ex-husband, Jules' father.

I had this question too. I thought it had just got forgotten - but clearly a little mystery left by the author.

Will was a fairly self absorbed womanizer, so if he had been at Jules apt, he probably wouldn't have noticed it. Jules wasn't close to her family, and also deliberately put off introducing them. It's mentioned a lot how little time they were actually together before getting hitched too.

What did V&A mean in the book
Kate
Good question. I hadn't remembered that bit.
