How do you deal with writer’s block?

L. Lane Bailey It depends. Usually I just do something else for a little while. I might watch an old movie or mow the grass... anything that is a change. Other times, I will have an obstacle that isn't really a "block", but more of a delay. Those I might deal with by writing through it. Often what gets written is going to the junk pile, but it gets me writing something.
Finally, I might choose to write something else. I have several stories that are stalled and the best way to get past the stall is to write something else in another story.
