Hello! I adore your books and just finished Rules of Civility a few minutes ago. I do have a question though that's nagging at me that I hoped you could answer. When Katey is at the newsstand an the man approaches her and calls her "Sister Sally Salamone," what's going on here? In the earlier paragraph she talks about when they were fourteen?

Thanks for the kinds words. The implication in the scene you describe is that Katey recognizes this rough edged panhandler from her catholic school days. He recognizes her in turn, and calls her out for acting like she is somebody else.
