After the End:
Did anyone else start to lose interest in (an otherwise engaging book) after the 'alternate future' plot device was used?
I'm two thirds of the way through now, and I'm finding it quite flat and confusing, and I'm about to abandon it.

I agree that the second half of the book was less interesting and less developed than the first half.
