I felt so disco…moreI found this book to be completely confusing! I didn’t understand what really happened “after” and the ending? What actually happened? I felt so discombobulated when I finished reading this book...like I was left hanging on a cliff…nothing was resolved or clear?! I typically love her books, but this one not so much. Any help with my confusion would be appreciated!(less)

Did anyone else start to lose interest in (an otherwise engaging book) after the 'alternate future' plot device was used? I'm two thirds of the way through now, and I'm finding it quite flat and confusing, and I'm about to abandon it.

It felt a …moreYes I started to lose interest during the second half. I think I would have preferred the author to commit to one ruling and go from there. It felt a little gimmicky. Personally if I think that one or the other story line 'isn't really happening ' then it doesn't pull me in. Having said that, the chapters involving Max falling apart at his mother's house were very affecting. (less)
