I loved Miracle Creek. Smartly written and engaging. You always ended each character's POV with a hook, it kept me wanting to read past bedtime! haha! Are you going to write a prequel or sequel to this one? Theres so much more to explore with Pak, Young and Mary. I so enjoyed your story. I can see why BOTM made Miracle Creek an April selection. Congratulations on all the praise. It's well deserved!

Thank you so much! I'm so happy that you loved Miracle Creek. I'm glad you like the scene endings--that was definitely my intent to make the readers want to keep reading late into the night! I don't think I'll write a sequel per se (at least as of now), but I'm working on a novel now that may have the Yoos and some of the other characters from Miracle Creek make a guest appearance. I think a prequel is more likely. Their time in Baltimore is taken almost directly from my own immigrant experience with my parents. If you're interested in reading more stories about that, I have some of those essays listed in my website (angiekimbooks.com) under the "Other Writings" tab. I hope you enjoy, and thank you again!

Hi Angie! would you consider a sequel focused on Mary? if i had to choose one of the characters i need to know better, it'd be Mary - i'm drawn to her and want to know more about her and what happens next. i also loved how her relationship with Young deepened at the end despite the difficult circumstances. PS last thing! i was proud of Young 'finding her voice' at the end and standing up for what was right.

I heard you on NPR Weekend Edition Saturday with Scott Simon. I listen regularly, add books to my shelves, and connect with authors here on Goodreads that he recommends. I was drawn into your conversation with him about autism. I'm estranged now from my two teenage autistic boys, largely due to the toxicity between me and my ex-wife and their conditions. Do you think your book could advise me and shed light?
