How do you get inspired to write?

Ed Mitchell I was inspired when my mom read to me as a child, taught me to read, and encouraged I and my two brothers to read. Unfortunately, we have mental illness in our bloodline. My great-uncle and my mom were institutionalized because of it. In my 30's there were some messages or teachings I wanted to share. Plus, along the way I came to realize the difference between insanity and saneness. Mentally ill people are blocked from positively creating. So writing thrillers is my way of confirming I'm still sane. While knowing that ancestors of mine lost that wonderful state of mind late in life.
