What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

D.C. Alexander Do it. Quit with the excuses. Yeah, whatever you just muttered, that doesn't matter either. Write it down. No, stay away from that written part, it aint time yet. (Slang and regional accent on purpose). Just do it. If you hear the music that goes with that, you are in the right headspace. Go back after 50,000 words and do all that editing, don't proofread it before that, unless it is a shorter work. I do go back and read the story every now and again, to get me on the right track for writing, be careful you don't fix that extra comma and proceed to edit it all.
