Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

D.C. Alexander I wrote a standard urban fantasy book. It had no depth, looking back at it, all I can say is ouch! I submitted it to a lot of publishing agents and got my first rejections. They said 'already been done, same ol' same ol', we aint looking for that, you need to do more off the beaten track' basically. In a snit, I started writing an exaggerated satire. The main character came to life and took they story away from me, I actually watched in amazement as it started pretty much writing itself.
