Does it have romance? Just curious.

R.F. Kuang There is no romance subplot or love triangle. There are relationships that could plausibly turn romantic, but they don't on the page.
Maria Why on earth did someone say there's romance and a love triangle?! No love triangle at all, and the romance is not even a subplot, but a thought that comes across the page minimally and in a way that does not disrupt the story, and contributes to the character.
Geekess Yes, there is a bit of romance, and unfortunately, there's a bit of a love triangle. I hate it when YA writers think that's necessary.
Brilliant book, but sucky romance stuff.

Yes, I know the writer herself say that there isn't. I don't know why. Maybe she has a different definition of romance than I do. There isn't heavy romance, and not too much starry eyed moping. The love triangle very one-sided and not very intense, but the MC does have a thing for one guy while developping a thing for her previously abusive bully, so I'm calling it a love triangle.
Lauren If you're going to argue that there's a love triangle in this book, you would need argue that there's a love "pentagon" instead. Rin has complicated relationships with five different male characters in the book, whether they be a mentor, commander, friend, etc. Hero-worship could easily be mistaken for romance in several instances. Also, if two of a woman's male friends are rivals--as is the case in several instances here--that doesn't automatically turn their friend group into a love triangle.
