About 3 years ago it looks like you mentioned a short story added as a Freebie on your website. It still is marked as "Coming Soonish"... do you think you're going to release that soon?

Hey Alex,
I did at one point finish a draft of something that was intended to be the story in question, but it was so bad that everybody (wife, agent, beta readers) agreed I was better off taking the hit for failing to fulfill the promise.
Right now I'm finishing up a book that's unrelated to Mount Char. That's basically all I'm doing these days, but I do believe it's close to finished. When that's done, I'll take another whack at the promised short story. I've got an idea I think might work.
