What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Chynna T. Laird The most important advice I can give is to never give up. Easy to say, I know, but writing and authoring are very competitive. In order to make it, you need to develop a few extra layers of skin. The thicker the skin, the less likely you'll throw in the towel.

Also, writers should try developing a platform for themselves and their work. Get out there on social media and follow those who have made it. See how they got where they are. Create a blog where you can display your best work. Write articles, even if free at first, so you can strengthen that platform and make yourself more visible. Trust me, publishers look for that. It shows them you will do your part in promoting yourself if they invest in you and your project.
