How do you get inspired to write?

Chynna T. Laird Inspiration is all around us and each writer is different in terms of where they turn for inspiration as well as how he or she is affected by it.

I use different sources to draw from. Personal experiences that I 'tweak'. Experiences people closest to me have had, whether I was there to witness is or not. Even listening to conversations on on around you in a restaurant, at the mall or on the bus and get those creative juices simmering.

Three of the books I've written actually stemmed from dreams I had. There are times my dreams run like a movie playing in front of me and I can see the story from beginning to end. Trust me, if you get funky dreams once in awhile write them down while you remember them. You don't have to use them right away but it becomes and idea you can delve into down the road.
