I thoroughly loved reading about your grandmother Maude! I also am truly loving reading your Manhattan series books as I live within an hour drive from Manhattan, Kansas. My question is: Were these books inspired by someone you knew or inspired by Manhattan, Kansas?

Donna Foley Mabry I lived in Manhattan for two years while my husband was stationed at Fort Riley. We were at 416 Vattier St.
My daughter was born at Irwin Army Hosp. there. I LOVED Manhattan and the people there, especially Lola and Miles Brooks, two of God's best. It was a very special time in my life.
