I would love to know how to pronounce some of these native names like Akecheta? I'm starting the Kimemela book next and already on the first few pages I see a lot of names I probably am saying wrong! Do you have a background in native american history?

Donna Foley Mabry I did as much research as possible, both online and through history books. I also ordered two books on the Kansa language from the tribe's director.
Akecheta is pronounced ah-kay-che-tah
Kimimela is Kim-ay-me-lah.
