Taylor Brown That's a good question, Ashley. I think Callum was pretty alone in the world and something extreme happened inside him when he saw Ava. Call it "love it at first sight" or infatuation or a startled protective instinct -- one of those times when we react without thought.

Hi Taylor, I am reading the galley of Rednecks and loving it; the overall feel of it is similar to Gods of Howl Mountain. The histories of the UMW and Mother Jones, together and separately, are of keen interest to me. Is there something I can read that tells what aspects of your book are fiction and what aren't?

WOW! I loved WING-WALKERS. I was fortunate enough to sit in Dr. McAlexander’s Southern Lit class at UGA in 1977. He was mesmerizing, smoking during class, and challenging each of us daily. He misread my last name, Gaunt, then said I should change it to Gant for LOOK HOMEWARD ANGEL reference. He turned me on to Faulkner and led me into my continuing reading journey of the southern word...which brought me to you! ?
