I am reading this book now. I am impressed by the apparent answers to many of the digestive problems that plague me! However, many questions I seek are not found in the text. For instance: Do the implied cures of Lupus say that most Auto Immune Diseases can be cured with the diet? What about Alopecia? Is there a pre-packaged "Green Smoothie" product on the market. Is avoiding Lectin the the key to success?

I disagree with Ken.
I wasn't a huge fan of this book, the same as I feel for almost every diet book, but the author is pretty anti paleo and T Colin Campbell seems to miss that point as evidenced in his quote detailing what he thinks an average reader will take away from the book "Aha, perhaps something is wrong with all that whole grain, vegetable nonsense after all! I like this. I knew that there was a reason why I never liked veggies and why I should, instead, be eating grass-fed meat! This book is for me!"
T Colin Campbell is quite biased towards vegetarianism and never toes the party line. I haven't found a good representative of the vegetarian camp, but I imagine there have got to be better than him so I'd take his rebuttal with a bucket of salt.
I'd suggest you do a trial of a low lectin diet and see how you do. If you do better it works, if not it doesn't
I'd stay away from prepackaged things until you've at least tried a whole foods only diet. Most prepackaged things contain nasty chemicals that can cause problems that may be misattributed to the diet

I would say that all those questions are answered in the book. Can most auto immune diseases be cured with this diet? Yes, or at least improved. Alopecia? Possibly. Hair loss and thinning are mentioned. Pre-packaged green smoothie? Yes. at catalystcuisine.com whose owner developed the recipes for the program. But the smoothie is 14.99 for three servings. I plan to do this program but I won't be getting those. I will make my own. In fact, you don't have to use the recipes, you can just pick your foods from the "Yes,Please" lists. Avoiding Lectin the key to success? All lectins are not equal. From what I read those in some plants are helpful. I would say try out the diet for 6 weeks and see if it helps you. That's what I am going to do. If it helps I will stay with it. It has helped many, many people already. I've read lots of positive comments on it on various websites.

Have you finished reading yet? His patients examples are real and many are same things happening to many of us. I feel bottom line Eat foods on his Yes list and try hard to Not eat from the No list and see How You Feel then. His food lists are extremely reasonable for what to eat. That no list may seem extreme, but being Diabetic not eating fruit ever again is something I pretty much did for yearsssss. Now I understand the WHY not to.. nobody explained it before. Nobody has explained What Are Lectins and What Do They Do before. Makes perfect sense! I feel that the No list is doable especially after hearing all that goes on from eating Lectins and what they do to us. My problem is now to get off Diet Drinks.. that is a biggie for me! Doing the diet he tells what and how for free.. you don't have to buy a thing! It is 2022 and he is not alone in most of his thinking.. times have changed from what was known in the past.
