I have read this book and re-read it twice, am i missing the big twist at the end? I don't understand the ending at all or seem to be picking up on this shocking twist everybody is talking about. Its driving me crazy! Can anybody shed some light?

Staci Wow!! I know I am late reading this book but, I loved every minute of it.

Two things I have found:
1.In the hospital Amber says when she stopped for the little girl in the pink dress she was not there. "you either imagined her or she ran away" Amber says "Both" she must be crazy.. split personality or delusional.

2.Amber said she "longs for the silence to return" ... "I get my wish. The door closes and I am left alone. The bracelet is gone and so is my sister" Claire was the last one with the bracelet.

It is also clear that Claire put Amber up to taking Madeline down. She planned everything long in advance. She bought the petrol on Madelines card and stored it at her house. That was before the accident wasn't it? This leads me to wonder if the "anniversary" Paul refers to is when they started this plan to get rid of Claire and take her kids. Was Paul in on it all. or just something to throw us off. It is possible that the bracelet was not even really there.

Another observation- She says three things you need to know... everything is 3... checking on things, the squeezes of the hand. There is a game 2 truths and a lie. Could these be that? The lie is my husband doesn't love me anymore and in the last entry the lie is my sister died in a tragic accident. flip of that is the lie is sometimes i lie... maybe she does not ever lie anymore. ?? lots of questions from just those last few words and that darn bracelet.
