I have read this book and re-read it twice, am i missing the big twist at the end? I don't understand the ending at all or seem to be picking up on this shocking twist everybody is talking about. Its driving me crazy! Can anybody shed some light?

Her mother had bought her a new bed dress that was pink to wear in the house of Claire’s since it was always cold. The little girl is in all of Ambers dreams/realities while she’s in a coma. Amber says the little girl is me. Both Claire and Amber sing nursery rhymes when they’re upset. Claire in the diaries and Amber in her office. Claire is skinny so she didn’t eat as much food that was poisened by Amber, when Claire heard the tape of her kids crying upstairs I imagine she (as a mother) got up enough adrenaline to go up and look for her children. Claire did take the bracelet. Amber says she sheds her skin off and now loves who she is seeing in the mirror. Paul is smart but loves Amber. If Claire had found the diaries at Ambers House after the crash she would’ve destroyed them before Amber did at the end. I’m still confused as to if “my sister died in a terrible accident” was “Claire’s mother” having a miscarriage after she fell down the stairs. Jo was given to Claire by Taylor (Amber). Also, the diaries never ever say the name of the author. Your only told the name Ambers parents gave her. Which was Claire. Both of the women loved the color red. Amber only drank red wine. Claire liked dry white wine. I’m confused but it’s an amazing book. I’ve read it 3 times in 2 days. (less)
