Goodreads asked Rashell Lashbrook:

What’s the best thing about being a writer?

Rashell Lashbrook The best thing about being a writer is having a sacred place to work things out. I can express anything with my writing. I am only limited by my mind. If I am feeling angry, I can work that out through a scene with two characters. If I'm in an adventurous mood, I can go on an exploration. I write to please myself first, but I hope in the process, I entertain others along the way. Knowing that a reader can identify with one of my characters, or that I stirred up an emotion in someone else through my writing is the ultimate joy.
