Bird Box is one of my favorites from this year so I wouldn't mind seeing discussion around it. I also read Psycho a few months ago and I wasn't all that impressed. I loved the classic movie and Bates Motel but the story just didn't do anything for me. I wouldn't mind being forced to read Frankenstein since the classic writing style turned me off pretty quickly in my last attempt. All in all, I'll be happy with any of them.

I'm with Zaz on that I like the fact the Halloween Tree is short. When I read the synopsis, I realized I grew up watching an animated movie version of this story on Halloween.

Not too thrilled to see Frankenstein taking a lead so far. I hated that book, quite adamantly, and have avoided its thread so as to not stir up too much trouble. As I understand it, there are two wholly different versions of the book, so perhaps I just read the really bad version. But I am reluctant to try the other, it would have to be very different.

You should definitely come and comment on the thread! I was the one that started it as I read it this year for one of my topics and I'd honestly be very intrigued by your opinion. I love to see varying opinions and I'd be interested to see if your reasons were the same as some of the reasons why I found some of the book hard to digest. You wouldn't stir up any trouble, I promise!

I really hope it wins. I love Frankenstein; it's one of my all time favorites, but I would love to finally participate in a BOTM with something new to me. I have a this bad habit even in my IRL book club of reading books before they are selected for group reading :D

But Bradbury in the house!!! I bought the book from Amazon (Kindle) and am ready to rock.
I'd like to volunteer, if needed, to be the one who reads the book early and writes the questions. Hit me up, sounds like fun.
