You know as unintentionally cheesy and ironically tone deaf as these books are, they did change the field of horror fiction forever. Specifically, they helped to in large part cause the collapse of the horror book market by pumping out subpar stories that sold themselves purely by the cover art alone. There are some testimonials by now famous horror authors that Zebra was a publisher of last resort.

That being said though, Joe R. Lansdale published his first work here as did John Shirley so there is that.
