This is for sci-fi/fantasy books where the primary/promoted romantic relationships are healthy and realistically developed. There can be abusive relationships portrayed, but they have to be depicted as abuse, not encouraged or romanticized. Unfortunately, I have trouble finding these, especially in young adult books. Healthy means the relationship we're supposed to root for has no abuse and it's between consenting partners. Realistic means the relationships are based on trust and respect and aren't shoved down our throat to move the plot along. I prefer no love-at-first-sight, but that doesn't necessarily preclude healthy, so we'll let it slide. Be nice, folks!
