Body Jumping/Hopping/Hijacking - Fiction
I'm unsure what to call this exactly, but this list is for fiction books that feature a (main) character that travels/jumps/hops from body to body. This could be due to scifi elements or super/paranormal/fantasy elements.
If you are unsure what this list is about, please just ask in the comments for clarification!
This list is NOT for:
1. simple reincarnation books.
Why: The body jumping/hopping needs to be more immediate and frequent.
2. books where the MC dies and wakes up in a new body to save their life, whether it be human, cyborg, etc.
Why: The body hopping/jumping should be something the MC can do as an ability or if they can't control it, is still something that occurs because of them (perhaps due to a curse, punishment, quirk in genetics, etc) . Not because someone else put them into a new body to save their life. Also, in the above example, once they're in that body, they tend stay there. This list is for more frequent jumps, whether it be within 1 book or the course of a series.
3. simple body-swaps
Why: There are plenty of lists for those sorts of tropes, this list is for a different type of body jumping. In a body swap, the two people usually regain their body back. In many of these body jumping books (list's focus), the person is forced, due to various means, to jump from body to body. And they usually do not regain their original body or re-inhabit previous bodies again. So, this is a different concept from a body swap plot.

Per the blurb this is a body swap story, which as stated, is not the focus of this list!
Blurb: "...and falls unconscious only to wake in the body of her own grandmother Brandy on the eve of her wedding--in 1900. The virginal Brandy, in turn, awakes in Shay's body to discover herself pregnant. What follows is a fascinating look at how two women--and their families--cope with this strange situation."
= body swap!
