The Oasis is the virtual reality playground where most people of 2044 spend their lives, including teenager, Wade Watts. When the creator of this world dies, he leaves his digital universe to the person who uncovers his hidden Easter egg. This is by far the geekiest book I have ever read and I loved it so very much. It made me nostalgic for the '80's. Gamer Geek to infinity. This book is definitely in my top three of best loved books that I have read this year. So good.

So good. It was so fun to read about the '80's and the book was so interesting and unpredictable.

I listened to the audiobook and liked the narrator's sound effects for pacman and Max's stuttering voice. If not for these sound effects, I would have rated the book 3 stars because most of it was too predictable and calculated and full of geeky 1980's references.
The story line was unique to me and the world-building was different. I enjoyed the attention to detail (Ultraman's fighting stances) but they sometimes made things too obvious (the books falling over in the chat room).
