Upon reread: - 3.5 stars I did actually enjoy my reread of ember. However. Without the thrill of the plot it was easy to spot some flaws I didn't before...
Like the writing for one. i was cringing while reading - it almost made me stop reading. It was like Tahir looked up every word in the thesaurus before she used it - it didn't seem natural.
Another thing, Elias and Laia's relationship was... Unnecessary?... Unwanted? I mean, Helene and Elias... Laia and Keenan... seemed sorted already, why did ...more

An Ember in the Ashes more like HOW TO SUCK MY SOUL INTO A STORY AND COMPLETELY DEVOID MY LIFE OF ANY OTHER MEANING WHILE READING IT

This is an absolutely amazing story and I am literally the happiest person knowing full well that the trilogy itself is going to be a mad 5 stars. ⭐️

How is it possible to relate so much to these characters when I have experience none of these events? Like, I feel like I’ve lived with them! That how to write a book!
