This monster is an epic experience that I think every fan of fiction should try tackling once. While I believe King might have created something even **more** amazing with a more bloodthirsty editor, there’s no doubting that this is a tale that leaves an indelible impression...even if you arrive already knowing the broad strokes.

My favorite type of horror book in the sense that Stephen King starts the story with a group of childhood friends who experience terror. He then takes the story to how what they experienced as children affects them in adulthood and how they must all come together to face their past. This book made me very scared of clowns. I can't give it 5 stars, because the ending is a bit of a letdown, but the miniseries movie did a great job of following the book.

I'm not a big SK fan, but I've read this a couple of tines and it scares me every time.
