I thought this book and series is really over hyped. Really, they had to take the Zombie into space, really?

somewhat divided on this one- really enjoyed it, but the whole time through it felt like something was missing - still can't quite put my finger on it. It's like something was oversimplified but I'm not sure exactly what it was, unless it really was everything, but I'm not yet ready to bring down the gavel on that - characters, politics, both could definitely have used some real fleshing out somehow. I rather enjoyed this book. It's not truly hard SF but it attempted to maintain a semblance of realism. I enjoyed both main characters, Miller, and Holden. One a washed up cop and the other an idealist. While a rather long book, I did not find it at all draggy. ...more
