There were 10 people who were summoned to the Southern Island - eight men and two women. And that includes Mr and Mrs Rogers, the domestic help appointed by Mr and Mrs Owen, their host and hostess. Much to their dismay, even after their one day stay in the huge mansion, their host and hostess did not turn up.
