Classic about a Swiss child who grows up in the mountains. The electronic book I read, according to Goodreads, has 370 pages, but on my smart phone it takes 818 screens.

Ah! I've finished the book, but my heart is still in those mountains, looking upon the snowy fields lit with the rosy glow of the setting sun.
A childhood favourite, I picked up this book for a re-read with some trepidation. Nobody likes old favourites ruined. I needn't have worried. Heidi's simplicity and kind heart won me all over again.

This feel good story was just what I needed to start the new year. ...more
