What Members Thought

This book was good. The first half of the book was rough for me to get through. I thought of giving up many times because it broke my heart that these thing during the Holocaust happened. The second half of the book was a bit easier but I loved how things turned out but I still have some unanswered questions. Lol

Herta is a Nazi doctor, with all that entails. Kasia is a Polish teenager mildly tied up in the Resistance. We get to see things from their perspectives, and oh boy, are those per ...more

This was a difficult book to read. I have read the Ravensbruck book by Sarah Helm which details the events of what happened at the concentration camp but in a much more impersonal way. This book gave those women faces and voices. It made it much more real. I struggled with the decision to finish it but in the end I'm glad I did. Be prepared when you read this one. It's heartbreaking but something everyone should read.
