Okay, now the last story in Side Jobs: Stories From the Dresden Files makes sense.
There was a LOT of things I loved about this installment.

By now, I'm pretty much used to how the baddies get bigger with each book in this series. So, when in this one, Harry & Co. go up against literal gods, I didn't even bat an eyelid.

What did take me by surprise was how dark this installment was! First, Harry comes to know about one of the greatest betrayals ever. Then, he makes a decision with consequences that could potentially erode what makes him human. (view spoiler) ...more

My Thoughts: I'll start by saying, I waited to read this until book 13 was out. All the review from when this came out were talking about the cliffhanger ending and I did not want to have to wait. I'll be reading Side Jobs this month and then Ghost Story next month. A much better wait time.
This is one of my favorite series. When I started reading I looked at DH and said "I forgot how much I enjoy reading these books". ...more

A brilliant book with so much going on. The book starts off with a big reveal in the first chapter and the story just doesn't let up, leaving us with a dreaded cliff hanger ending (A Dresden book with a cliff hanger? No!!!). The book has some really interesting character development and it really leaves you desperate for the next installment. I fear writing too much as I think so much of it would delve into spoiler territor. Suffice it to say, this was a brilliant book full of emotional ups and ...more
