Reading the Dresden books is like getting together with old friends. You sort of love them, they make you laugh and you know all their flaws and have decided to ignore them because is worth it even though they might infuriate you on occasion.

I can't believe it took me 2 months to finish this book! I had such a hard time getting into it, that I would read a few pages and then put it aside to read something else. I did enjoy the 2nd half of the book though. 2 stars for the the beginning, 4 stars for the rest = 3 Star Average.

I've heard from other Harry Dresden fans that book 6 is when the series starts to slow down, but I still really enjoyed this book. I think the sarcasm went up a notch which was funny. I liked the story and I enjoyed seeing Murphy be vulnerable a bit.

I so love Harry! He took quite a few big hits in this installment and I have to say I was shocked by a few of them. I also enjoyed getting to see a new side to Murphy! She is such a great character and I hope to see her more involved in upcoming books.

I am so in love with Harry Dresden! I can't wait for the next book.
