I enjoyed the development of the overall story line and think a bad guy has been set up for the future. (view spoiler) I liked that Ian, Spade and Denise were included with Cat and Bones and hope to see more of them in the future books.

Shelves: dangerous-hero

The story line did seem lacking on this one compared to the previous books that have blown me out of the water. Entertaining. Sure it is, but the story felt like it should be parallel to another more intricate story if the writer wanted it written for this book. I agree with another reviewer that it would have been a better short story.

Not a bad installment, marginally better than the last one but still missing something I can’t quite put my finger on. The business with Don sat oddly with me and the introduction of douchebag Madigan indicates fairly clearly where the plot is likely to head after this.

Still, I love Bones, Spade and Ian, and despite my misgivings, they’ll keep me reading.
