I have had Archangel’s Blade on my shelf for months. And I put off reading it purposefully. It wasn’t my typical series anxiety where I’m all “oh, please don’t screw this up” but hesitation. I wasn’t head-over-heels for the last Guild Hunter novel. It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t the same fiery writing from Nalini Singh’s earlier books. I just wasn’t game for a ho-hum read.

I've enjoyed Singh's Guild Hunter series, perhaps not quite as much as the Psy-Changeling stories, but still great reading. Dmitri's story turned out to be my favorite in the series so far.
All of Raphael's Seven are dangerous weapons, but Dmitri has come across as the coldest and most lethal. We learn a lot about Dmitri's past and what made him the man he is today. Great book, can't go wrong with Nalini Singh.
I liked so many things about this book, especially that the author is making the series about the whole crew, I keep thinking that we'll see something about Venom and Sorrow, maybe?
or Ash and Janvier?
Anyway, I liked this side of Dmitri, he's always been a very veeery interesting character and it was great to read about him, his life before he was a vampire (even if it was an awful story), it made me like him even more and somehow understand him too.

Not much I can say that isn't going to make me sound like a gushing fangirl. So I'll just say that I loved it. Loved Honor and Dmitri, loved the look to the past and the man that Dmitri was, loved Honor's journey to heal, and loved them together.
