Mmmm, this one gets more of an "eh" from me. It isn't that I didn't like it, so much as it never felt as engaging as other books in the series. I wasn't sure I liked Dev. I never felt like I "got" him. And I was pretty lukewarm with Katya too. Characters with amnesia are tricky - they don't even know who they are, how do we get to know / like them?

I also was perturbed at Dev's ruthlessness towards Katya. I get that she's potentially dangerous, okay? But you can't deny the fact that this woman wa

When Dev Santos finds an unconscious battered woman on his doorstep, he takes her into his care. Katya has been stripped of her memories and programmed to carry out an unknown task. All she knows is that she is dangerous. Dev feels duty bound to eliminate any threat to the safety of his people but is irrevocably drawn to Katya. Together they must work to discover who Katya is, and what her captors programmed her to do.

This is the seventh book in Nalini Singh's incredible Psy-Changeling series,

Blaze of Memory provides us the series' first psy-psy pairing, Devraj Santos and Katya Haas.

Dev is one of the "Forgotten", who the Psy Council has never stopped hunting for since their defection from the PsyNet. He is also the director of The Shine Foundation. Dev no longer considers himself Psy. His ability is hardening him to point where his friends are becoming worried for his stability.

I hesitated when I picked this up as I wasn't sure if I was in the right mood but as soon as I started I was hooked! Like the last one I was a goner after the first paragraph.

I loved all the different threads and POVs. The letters were an excellent way of contrasting the past and the present but still keeping a link (a genetic one) to the main characters. Even though the main couple were both Psy, Dev acted very much like a changeling, to a point where I wondered if one of his ancestors was one

Okay Nalini Singh can't write a bad book so yes I did enjoy this one. But... it wasn't up to her usual par. I wasn't as invested in the two main characters. Sometimes, I was more interested in the side stories about the children than the main story. Give her credit I did actually start to believe the HEA wasn't going to happen. And come on- it's a romance- the formula is set from page one. In a romance- it's not the end of the story- the HEA- but the journey- the how you get there. The first sex ...more

If you are a Singh fan you'll love this one. It shot right up there to one of my favorites. It's a lot more emotional than some of her others. This one brought me to tears. It was just one of those stories that tugged at you.
