Aren't people tired of women who karate kick, shoot guns too big for any woman to handle and are the most powerful bad ass thing around? I loved Buffy. I don't need a million clones. This is standard Mary sue territory with the typical all powerful God Mode Sue who can defeat every bad guy, acts like a jerk but is always forgiven, and attracts men who you would think would rather find someone that treats them well. Okay, I don't give many books 5 stars, but I just had no other choice with this one. It was great! Kate must finally face her truth, her past and her future. It's so hard to write a synopsis of this book without giving too much away - so if you need to know what it's about then read the little blurb up top.

I was enjoying this series until this book. Now I LOVE this series. Curran and Kate made me laugh quite a few times with their courtship. When he glued her to the chair. This book is a great read, and it improves on it's, already fantastic, predecessors. I'm especially happy to see Kate not fainting after every battle this time. I do have concerns over the direction of her love life and its impact on the series, but I'm going to trust the author for now. I'm now officially antsy for Book 5, because the series just keeps getting better. ...more

I like the second book best. THe ending of the third book was also perfect. For this latest, I coudn't put it into words. It's like it's okay if it ended here. Naturally, I would be reading the fifth, for its a first for them as a couple.

P.S. I wish Jim would have his own romantic story. Could it really be DaNi? :) Can't wait.

I am fantastically impressed with this series. Its action packed, funny with a nice touch of romance. Kate Daniels is a legend, love her to bits, the love Curran shows for Kate just kills me. Thank you Ilona Andrews, Thank you!!
