This year I'm going to try to go ⓶ NOSE TO THE GRINDSTONE: Two days (12h), but might need to change it down the road.
Let's gooooooooooooo!!! 😁

During the month of September, SOS hosts a 24-hour Read-a-thon (RAT). We all have a mountainous to-be-read stack we'd love to topple. And, many have yearly challenges that are approaching the ¾ mark. It's once again time to get those books read!
Not able to spend 24 hours doin' nuthin' but reading? Don't worry, most of us can't either. So, we're shakin' it up a bit and allowing members to tally up their read time to equal 24 hours.
Duration: September 1-30, 2025
Goal: Read for 24 hours during the month of September - easy and simple.
Rules: To make it a bit more exciting, in order for your reading time to count towards your 24, you must choose one of the options below to follow.
Reading Options (hours spent reading each sitting):
⓵ DO NOT DISTURB: One day (24h)
⓶ NOSE TO THE GRINDSTONE: Two days (12h)
⓷ WILL WORK FOR BOOKS: Three days (8h)
⓸ SLOW & STEADY: Four or more days (2-7h)
(More detailed explanation can be found HERE)
In order for time to count towards your 24-hours, steady reading must be done for at least 2 or more hours in one sitting.
✣ Sign-up below by stating that you would like to participate in the RAT and include which reading option you will be following. You are welcome to change your reading option at any time during the RAT.
✣ Those participating are welcome to create a RAT thread ( here ) to use throughout the month to share your books, ratings & reviews, chat with friends, etc.
✣ Once you've reached 24 hours, share your results on our FINAL RAT STATS thread.
NOTE: For those who previously participated, you can find your previous RAT threads (2013+) in our archive folders. Click on DISCUSSIONS on the group menu, then scroll down to the RAT archive folders - organized by year.
✣ You are also welcome to read along with a partner or a group of people. However, each person must read a total of 24 hours to complete the RAT.
