Magic Bleeds on Books On Track

Update, 30 Aug 2018: Just as awesome the second time around!
The series continues with a short story about Jim and Dali, Magic Dreams.

I really like Ilona Andrew's writing. The story is fast paced, Kate is a smart-mouth which really amuses me and last but definitely not least, the story is 'realistic'. Another stellar offering by the writing duo Ilona Andrews. This fourth in the series, which hasn't gone stale on my yet, features Middle Eastern lore, the appearance of Kate's deadly and ancient aunt Erra, and the official coupledom of Kate and Curran.

Another fabulous installment from Ilona Andrews. This series continues to improve!

Kate is smart, courageous, sassy and sarcastic. She's got to be the most likable of all the kick-ass heroines out there. While others grow tiresome and obnoxious, Kate's humor and determination continue to endear her to me.

In Magic Bleeds, she faces her most daunting challenge to date. Throughout the whole of the book, even though I knew Kate would come out victorious (it is her series after all), I still ...more

Episode 4: Magic Bleeds

Now that I have this series on my favorites list, I don't know what to say. Okay, I'm totally lying through my teeth. I have a bit to say.
Curran and Kate go at it. FINALLY! If those two didn't do something about it soon I was going to lose faith in those two getting together.

This was so great to read! I love these characters and the world the authors have created. They left some serious questions in the air after the last in the series, Magic Strikes, but it is very safe to say they delivered with this one. I don't want to discuss much of plot, but suffice it to say, you will be wanting to read the entire series once you start and it only gets better from there.

I finished MAGIC BLEEDS last night and all I can say is WOW. I loved this book, that makes 4 in a row for the writers of this series. I am already jonesing for book 5. I still think MAGIC STRIKES, and MAGIC BURNS are the best books in the series. This book had some pacing problems in my opinion but it was still a 4 star book for me. It got a bit repetitive around the middle - Kate almost killing the baddie and not, Kate almost telling Curran what was going and not, Kate and Curran clashing about the failed dinner - but I loved the ending.
