Well this just pains me. I think this series is very original as far as the storylines and the things Kitty encounters and has to go through. More so than maybe any other UF series out there. Everything is done with just enough action, a little humor and a great set of characters that you can't help but love. But somehow it has gotten to the point where it's not working as well for me.

This in big part is due to the fact that in book one I fell i

Let my start with this was my first book in the series. There really was nothing wrong with this book. It was ok, but I don't know that I will be reading the rest of the series. It just isn't quite my cup of tea.

I am the kind of person to that takes things apart to see how they work.I like my fantasy to be the same way, at the end you need to take it apart and explain how it all works. My main disappointment in this book is summed up by this quote on page 277. "I need to know what happened down

*NO Spoilers.

The Good: YES! After a certain disappointment with “Kitty’s House of Horrors” and the great “Kitty Goes to War”, I feel that Carrie Vaughn has gone back to all I have always loved about this series in Kitty’s Big Trouble. A lot of Ben and Kitty goodness, a lot of Cormac and a lot of great action.

The Bad: No big complaints, but I’m still not a fan of the Cormac storyline =/

The Romance: YAY! Ben and Kitty are so adorabl

It pains me a little to give a Kitty book such a low rating. The previous books have all been consistent 3-4 star ratings for me, but this one left me with that meh feeling. Sorry Kitty, you didn't quite do it for me this time around :(

I found this latest installment to be a tad boring. Kitty and crew go to San Francisco to seek out a magical artifact before Roman can get his evil hands on it. We meet some random folk, Kitty finds herself in a couple dangerous situations, and we get ourselves se

Kitty never disappoints me. I always enjoy the opportunity to sit down and become involved with her life. Kitty, Ben and Cormac travel to San Francisco to do a fovor for Anastasia. The use of Chinese mythology is a major point in the story. I love that Cormac is so intwined in the story again. His delevoping powers intrigue me. 4 stars

Starts off with Kitty wondering/researching who might have been a supernatural in history (with a primary focus on a certain Civil War general). That's an interesting thought, yeah? Then it dives into looking for the Dragon's Pearl; a magical artifact. More supernaturals introduced (was that really necessary? I guess why not?). Anastasia has a really good back-story (very tragic and she is amazingly strong). I've continued to enjoy Kitty and her adventures and this was no different. I liked that ...more
