These short stories are all wonderful little romps into the Changeling World.

"Echo of Silence" has a wonderful Psy hero and a heroine of middle eastern origin. The love story is a lovely balance of honoring cultural traditions, becoming a fuller version of the self, and skin hunger.

I was a little sadden we didn't get Sea Shifter as the heroine or hero but I adored who we got.

Echo of Silence
This was a romance between a Psy (Stefan) and Human (Tazia). Briefly got a glimpse of the underwater station Alaris. I liked this one, but it was slower paced.

Dorian
Takes place through several years. Another good one.

Partners in Persuasion
My favorite in this collection. Felix is a submissive wolf was was burned before. Dezi is a dominant leopard. I liked their dance and build-up of trust.

Wild Embrace is a collection of 4 novellas set in the Psy-Changeling world. I enjoyed the book, however it did take me a lot longer to read than other Nalini Singh books. Perhaps it could be said that I was savoring the stories. My personal favorite was the first story Echo of Silence which had a human/Psy pairing. I really loved Stefan and Tazia - they were perfect for each other. I also liked how the author touched upon Tazia's culture and how important her family and background were to that c ...more

This book reminded me of all the things I love about the Psy/Changling universe. After a couple of rather lackluster novel-length reads, this revitalized my interest in the series. I loved all the novellas, even though I wasn't sure I was going to for each one. Definitely a great stop in Singh's world, but I would caution that they'd probably be best appreciated if the reader was already familiar with the Psy/Changling world. ...more
