This is the first in the series where a group of Warriors opened Pandora's box and unleashed Demons on the world. The greek Gods made each one host a demon. Additionally they are tracked by a group called The Hunters who wants to destroy them all.
This story features a woman named Ashlyn who goes to them seeking help for her power of hearing past conversations everywhere she goes. She meets Maddox (the Host of Violence) and the voices are silent.

It wasn't that it was bad, but I don't know for a first book in a series, I was expecting it to be "tighter", you know? The characters were the tortured bad boys, with a heart of gold that we all know and love, but the love story as it unfolded between Maddox and Ashlyn just didn't convince me. It was all too fast, too neat, too easy. I mean I know she couldn't take the voices anymore, but she saw this huge man in front of her - a man she didn't know whether he was good or bad and she wasn't sca

Of the 3 Lords of the Underworld books, this one is my favorite. I liked the way Ashlyn and Maddox (Violence) interacted together. Ashlyn is a good match for violence because she seemed to come off as innocent and a little naive, which is the total opposite of violence.
Even though they are demons, you can't help but to like them. They don't seem like demons, but more like frat house. The only fault I could find with the story was that even though the are centuries old they could at least try to ...more

This is one of the best books I've read since discovering Paranormal Romance quite some time ago, and I'm only sorry that I didn't listen to EVERYONE and read it sooner. It's been sitting on my TBR shelf for quite some time, so I finally decided to pick it up and... WOW. That's all I can say. Wow. I'm surprised that Showalter managed to pull off the ending in ten pages, but it somehow just worked. And Gideon... Rawr. Don't even get me started on that blue-haired piece of sexiness!

I love the storyline on this book. The Demons remind me of the characters in JR Ward's brotherhood series.
Each member of the Demon's of the underworls series has his trials to overcome, as well as his own special skills and powers. These immortals are HOT!
Good quick read and leaves you wanting more.
