This book definitely had its creepy moments - the vintage photography sure helped with that.

Certainly suspenseful at the beginning, but once I found out the big "secret" I simply lost interest.
The characters didn't grip me, least of all the MC who was a bit rubbish.

It's hard not to read this book and feel like some of the things were being phoned in due to the photographs, but I really fell in love with this book. I feel as if some of the characters could have been more fleshed out, but I'll have to see what happens in the rest of the trilogy, which I definitely plan to read. Now I just need to go see the movie! ...more
