Really enjoyed this book. It wasn't at all what I thought it was going to be like. I'm kinda glad that the library was only gonna be open for another 5 mins and that I had to choose a book faster than I normally do, or I might have never chose this book. It have some truly special parts, but it also had some truly horrific parts as well. The whole book was believable and definitely had a child perspective. Shelves: weird, interesting, i-might-cry, psychological

This is one interesting, disturbing, eye-opening, eerie book. Ever wondered what it would be like to be kidnapped and held against your will in a small for years? This is that room and the amazing story of a mother and son held(and born) there. Room is written from Jacks perspective and Emma Donoghue does an incredible job of sounding just like an intelligent 5 year old boy. I am torn between giving this book 4 or 5 stars. This was a great book.
The story is about a girl who is abducted when she is 19. She is kept in room/shed in her abducters backyard. She is held hostage for 7 years in ROOM. while there she becomes pregnant. We hear the story from her 5 year olds point of view.
